ARRANGE REPAIR

At the time of its launch in 2021, the Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max was the joint-largest of the iPhone range and its new flagship. With a screen that big, the quality had better be good, and it was- the Super Retina XDR OLED gained favourable reviews and persuaded many to buy it.

One thing you won’t find so favourable is what it’ll cost you to have the OLED screen replaced by Apple if it gets broken!

And while you can certainly get it done cheaper by one of countless mobile phone repair shops, most of them keep the price down by using cheap “copy” screens using the older and less impressive LCD technology. The quality of these can vary from passable at best (yet still visibly inferior to the official OLED) to downright awful (dodgy resolution, ropey colour, low contrast and badly-fitting).

We offer an alternative that you often won’t get elsewhere- glass replacement.

This works for the significant proportion of cases where the “broken” screen is only actually broken on the surface (i.e. the top glass/digitizer layer) and the OLED display itself underneath is fine.

If you can see the surface crack, but no further damage (e.g. blobs, stripes, dark/light areas or other defects you wouldn’t be happy with), there’s good news- your iPhone 13 Pro Max is a good candidate for glass replacement.

What To Do

Please verify that your iPhone 13 Pro Max’s screen is in working order and- as described elsewhere- it’s just the glass that’s cracked.

Now click the “Arrange Repair” button, submit your information as requested and follow the instructions given in the email you get back.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Is glass replacement suitable in every case?

Unfortunately, it’s only an option where your OLED itself is still intact beneath the cracked surface glass- that is, no obvious blobs, stripes, bright or dark areas or any other defects you’d consider unacceptable. If you’re not sure about that contact us and we’ll help get it sorted out.

What's the procedure for payment?

You pay after your phone has been repaired. Once this has been done, we’ll get in touch to arrange payment. Once we’ve received your payment, your phone will be returned by courier.

Why don't many other places offer glass replacement?

The majority of small phone repair businesses are designed around a limited number of simple “part swapping” repair services (e.g. battery or screen replacements, etc.)

Glass replacement is far from straightforward and isn’t an easy “add on”- it requires a whole different set of skills and its own setup and specialised equipment. We can offer this service because we’re already heavily involved in the screen refurbishment business.

How long is it likely to take?

Usually we’ll have your phone fixed the same day if it’s come in by early afternoon, the next day otherwise. When you’ve paid, our courier will collect it and return it to you, usually by their next working day service.

How much is return delivery?

£10 for UK mainland addresses (except the Scottish Highlands). Those living elsewhere should get in touch with us for a price. Self-collection at no additional cost from our premises in Dundee is also available.
