ARRANGE REPAIR

The iPhone 13 Pro was launched in 2021, and along with the 13 Pro Max was the new flagship of the iPhone range. Its Super Retina XDR OLED impressed many people, and it impressed us too.

The one thing that won’t impress you is the cost of getting a replacement OLED fitted by Apple if you break it!

And while countless small repair stores offer cheap iPhone 13 Pro screen replacements at a fraction of the official price, most use low-cost “copy” screens based on the older and cheaper LCD technology. These are of highly variable quality- acceptable at best (although still inferior to an OLED), but frequently downright abysmal, with poor colour, contrast, resolution and fit.

There’s another option that most places don’t offer- glass replacement.

Glass replacement relies on the fact that, often, a “broken” screen is only broken on the surface– even if the top glass layer (which includes the touch/digitizer) is cracked, the OLED below is still fine. You can tell whether this is the case by looking at the screen to see if there is any obvious damage (blobs, stripes, dark/light areas and other defects) beyond the crack itself.

If not, you’re in luck- your phone is a candidate for glass replacement!

How to Get Your Phone Fixed

Please ensure that the screen beneath the cracked glass is still in working order (as described elsewhere) before sending it to us. (If you’re unsure, get in touch first).

Your Questions Answered

Is glass replacement suitable for every iPhone 13 Pro?

Unfortunately not. It only works for cases where the OLED itself is still essentially undamaged and intact under the cracked glass- no obvious blobs, bright or dark areas, stripes or other defects you’d consider unacceptable. If you’re unsure whether that covers your phone, get in touch and we’ll do our best to help.

How do I pay?

Once we’ve received your phone and repaired it, we’ll get in touch to arrange payment.

If it's so great, why don't most places offer glass replacement?

Most phone repair businesses are built around a small number of simple “part swapping” repair services (e.g. screen or battery replacements, etc.)

Glass replacement isn’t easy- it requires a different set of skills, and a specialised equipment setup that isn’t likely to be worth it for most small repair shops. However, as we’re already in the screen refurbishment business, it’s a lot more practical for us to offer this service to you.

How long can I expect my glass replacement repair to take?

If we’ve received your phone by the early afternoon, it’ll typically be repaired the same day; otherwise the next day. Once you’ve paid, we’ll have it returned to you by courier (or you can collect it yourself).

What's the price for return delivery?

Return delivery by courier costs £10 for addresses on the UK mainland (excluding the Scottish Highlands). If you live elsewhere, get in touch for the price. You can also self-collect form our premises if you prefer.
