This page explains what we need from you for our refurbishment and recycling services, and what you can expect from us in return.
IMPORTANT: The contents of this page forms the general terms and conditions for use of refurbishment, recycling and all other services. Please ensure that you have read it as it is part of your contract with us.
Where applicable, users should also familiarise themselves with the specific terms and conditions for the refurbishment service.
Requirements for Screens (Refurbishment or Recycling)
Please note that we can only accept OEM (original) and non-OEM (refurbished) screens, not third-party “copy” displays. If you are unsure what the difference is, or how to tell them apart, please read our article on OEM, non-OEM and copy screens.
We accept screens with broken glass, but we require the underlying digitizer and the display itself to be in working order. The screen must have no defects, dead pixels, dark patches or flickering.
If you are sending screens to us for recycling, it is important that you are aware of the conditions of screen that we can and cannot accept (i.e. our general criteria for accepting or rejecting screens). Please read that article if you have not already done so.
Before sending your screens to us, you must complete and submit either the refurbishment form or the recycling form as appropriate. You’ll receive an email copy of this which you should print off and enclose in the box containing your screens.
Once we have received the screens, we will check each of them to confirm that they are still working as requested above. (We can make a video of this process for you if necessary.) We’ll then send you an email report covering our findings.
If the screens were sent to us for recycling, we will offer payment at our standard rates for those in sufficient working order. (This can be via PayPal or bank transfer). Any screens diagnosed as not working will either be returned to you or disposed of according to your preference.
If the screens were sent to us for refurbishment on your behalf, we will refurbish those in acceptable order and return them along with the unfixable screens.
In both cases, we will contact you to confirm that this is acceptable beforehand.
While we accept that it isn’t always possible to test screens before they’re sent to us- and that they can sometimes be damaged in transit (see our guide on how to avoid this)- please do not send screens to us that you already know to be unfixable (i.e. touch/digitizer not working*, or broken display itself).
We cannot accept screens that have been taken from stolen, blacklisted, FMI or FRP locked devices. We reserve the right to request proof of where a screen has come from, including requesting repair job numbers or the IMEI of the device it was taken from. Should it come to light that a screen has been taken from a device in these prohibited categories, we may pass your details on to a third party, as we have done our due diligence and ask that you do the same.
If you are having screens refurbished, please also read our Refurbishment Terms and Conditions.
* We only accept screens with broken touch/digitizer for the small number of models that specifically list this option.
What the Screen Refurbishment Service Includes
Our iPhone screen refurbishment service includes

- Backlight sticker
- Earpiece mesh
- Backplate (for 7G and newer screens)
- Adhesive seal (for 6S and newer screens)
Finished Samsung screens are supplied with

You can see a typical example of our refurbished screens in the image above. Before being sent off, the screen and blue adhesive seal go inside the padded bag. How to Pack Your Screens for Delivery to Us
For details on how to pack your screens, please see How to Store and Pack Screens for Recycling & Refurbishment.
Requirements for Motherboards and Complete Phones and Tablets (Recycling Only)
As well as screens, we buy Apple iPhone and Apple iPad motherboards for recycling. These can be in either working or non-working order.
We also purchase whole (complete) iPhone and iPad units for recycling. Again, these can be in working or non-working order, and may include units that are beyond economic repair (BER), water damaged, iCloud locked, or simply not working. However, they must be whole with no parts missing. (For example, we couldn’t accept a housing that included the motherboard, but not the LCD).
