ARRANGE REPAIR
Apple’s iPhone 14 came out in late 2022 and features a 6.1″ Super Retina XDR (“eXtreme Dynamic Range”) OLED screen.
That’s one fantastic display- the only thing our customers generally don’t find so fantastic is how much Apple want to charge for an official OLED replacement after they break it!
Compatible LCD-based “copy” screens are now coming on the market, enabling small mobile repair shops to offer repairs at much lower price. The problem here is that- as with all unofficial “copy” screens- these don’t use OLEDs and are consistently inferior in terms of quality. At best, they’re passable; at worst, they can be downright awful, with poor colour, contrast, resolution and case fit.
If you don’t want to compromise, but you don’t want to pay silly money for an official OLED repair either, maybe you should consider what we offer- glass replacement.
This is an option for any damaged phone screen where the surface glass is cracked (and possibly the touch isn’t working), but the underlying OLED screen itself is still in working order, with no obvious stripes, blobs, dark or light areas or any other obvious defects.
If this applies to your iPhone 14, good news- it’s a candidate for glass replacement.
