At We Buy LCDs, we offer refurbishments for the OLED-based iPhone X, iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max screens.

The iPhone X was the first iPhone to feature an OLED-based screen, rather than the LCDs found in previous models. Apple later included OLEDs in the iPhone XS and XS Max (as well as the iPhone 11 Pro, which we discuss elsewhere).

From your point of view, as the end customer, you don’t have to worry about these details if you don’t want to; after all, we’re here to do the hard work on your behalf! The procedure for sending your OLED iPhone screens to us for refurbishment is the same as it is for all others; simply follow the instructions and complete the refurbishment form before dispatching your screens.

Preparing and Sending Your Screens

Filling Out the Form

In order to send your iPhone X/XS/XSM OLED screens to us for refurbishment, you first need to complete the refurbishment form. Note that we require the underlying display itself to be in working order, otherwise we can’t accept it.

After you’ve filled in your name and address, you can list the quantity of each screen type you have to send us. (The form covers all the goods we accept for refurbishing, including both OLEDs and LCDs by other manufacturers). You can list any additional requirements in the “other” box at the end.

Once We Receive Your Screens

First Checks

Once your parcel arrives in the workshop, we open it to verify that the screens included in the box match those on the printout of the form that you’ve enclosed. After that, we’ll test the condition of each screen, filling in an intake form.

(At this stage we also verify that no unofficial third party copy screens have been included, as we can’t refurbish those).

Next, we test each OLED screen to make sure it’s in working condition.
