Once upon a time, if the home button got damaged on any Touch ID enabled Apple iPhone (up to the 6S Plus), it was possible to replace it with an aftermarket one. Doing so would break the secure enclave, so the fingerprint recognition sensor would no longer work, but at least you would be able to use the click function. Since the release of the iPhone 7, it has not been possible to replace the home button. (Technically, you can buy a new one, but it would be for purely cosmetic purposes only).
We’ve now added a new page- “iPhone LCD Refurbishing“- that goes into the specific details of iPhone refurbishment in more detail; what we offer you, the details of what you need to know and much more. Let us know what you think!
